Trust and Christian Contemplative Practice

CLAREMONT, Calif. (October 3, 2008) — Michael Spezio, Scripps College professor of psychology, will discuss his research in social neuroscience on trust and the Christian contemplative process at the Tuesday Noon Academy on October 14. Spezio’s work focuses on identifying the benefits of contemplative practices in the reduction of stress and improving pro-social behavior. The session will be held at noon in Scripps College’s Hampton Room of the Malott Commons. The event is free and open to the public.

Participants are encouraged to bring their lunch or purchase one in the Malott Commons dining hall. Coffee and dessert will be provided. Doors to the Hampton Room open at 11:45 a.m.
